Privacy:
We respect your privacy, the privacy of our customers and loyal fans and support all efforts to protect it. We will never sell or distribute your personal information to any other entity for any reason whatsoever. This includes your e-mail address, as well as your mailing address and phone numbers.
When you place an order with us, we request your name, birthdate, billing address, shipping address, credit card number, expiration date, and email address. We consider this information to be private, and remain so, we keep this information on an internal secure server to protect it from outside parties. We use the information only for the limited purpose of processing your order(s), administering our site and notifying you of any upcoming wine releases and updates. We do not share your private information with anyone and never will.

Neither we, nor any third parties, guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, performance, completeness or suitability of the information and materials found or offered on this website for any particular purpose. We expressly exclude liability for any inaccuracies or errors.
Terms & Policies When Purchasing Our Wine:
You must be at least 21 years of age to order and receive alcoholic beverages from us. Receipt of shipments containing alcoholic beverages requires the signature of a person 21 years of age or older in-person. Wines purchased from Smith Story Wine Cellars are not for resale.
Credit Card Charges
Online orders are by credit card only. We accept ApplePay, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. No minimum purchase is required.
States Authorized for Direct Shipment
Due to the nature of wine shipping laws, we may be able to ship wines, directly or indirectly, to your state. If we are unable to ship directly to your state, we can arrange for the sale and shipment of our products through a third party on your behalf. Please note, when dealing through a third party, wine prices, discounts, and shipping costs may differ from those quoted by the Smith Story Wine Cellars website. Often customers direct wine orders to a their local UPS Access Point to avoid missing deliveries.
Shipping Costs
UPS Ground and FedEx are our carriers of choice. Ground shipping is provided by UPS Ground at current market rates. *Note: if the customer selects Next Day or 2Day Air as his or her choice, the customer pays all shipping charges, regardless of his or her wine club membership or purchase amount.
After Your Wine Purchase
Wine may be affected by extremes of temperature: hot, humid summer or cold winter weather may adversely affect the condition of your wine during shipment. Smith Story Wine Cellars is not responsible for, and will not replace wine that is damaged by weather conditions during shipment. Once your wine order is picked up by the carrier for delivery, responsibility for the wine becomes the responsibility of the purchaser. When purchasing wine, we will ship your order via UPS/FedEx, weather permitting, on a predetermined and agreed upon scheduled ship date. By default we hold all shipping orders between May and October due to temperature, until it cools down, unless Next Day or 2day air is purchased and is communicated with Smith Story Wine Cellars.
Returns
By law, we are only allowed to accept returns of goods that were purchased in error. Additionally, because of the fees charged by credit card companies sales are non-refundable. However, we may enforce a restocking fee, 5% of the order total. The circumstances surrounding the order may impact our enforcement of this policy.

Smith Story Storytellers Wine Club Terms and Conditions
Cancellation
We ask that you agree to a commitment to membership for one consecutive year. You are welcome to cancel your membership at any time, however should you terminate your membership before you have taken 2 shipments then the discounts applied to your previous purchases will be charged back to your credit card on file. You may make any changes to your membership or cancel at any time by contacting ericandali@smithstorywines.com . Changes or cancellations made after club processing may be subject to additional charges which are noted in advance of each Club shipment, sales are non-refundable.
Skipped Shipments
Smith Story Storytellers Members have the option to skip a shipment by emailing ericandali@smithstorywines.com during a wine club release period. Members may skip up to two consecutive shipments and retain Active Member status. After two skipped shipments, we ask that members take the following shipment in order to remain an Active Member. Skipping a third shipment would change your status to Inactive to allow us space to accommodate those on our Storytellers Waiting List.
Returns

Shipping
Shipments are sent out twice a year, once in Spring and once in Fall.
You will be notified by email prior to each shipment with 28 days to review the selection and costs. You may make changes to your account online or email ericandali@smithstoryywines.com for assistance. No reply to the email will be perceived as accepting the shipment and charges as listed.
Each shipment will be automatically charged to your credit card after the cut-off date specified in the email and prior to shipping.
Pick up is always complimentary!
If you are unable to receive your shipment within the delivery window and wish to reschedule, please request alternate shipping or pick up arrangements by emailing ericandali@smithstorywines.com prior to the deadline.
Once orders have left Smith Story Wine Cellars, and redirected or returned wine shipments are the responsibility of the customer. And applicable fees and charges will be applied to your credit card on file.
Carriers make three delivery attempts before returning orders to Smith Story. It is the obligation of the customer to notify us of any billing or shipping changes prior to the next shipping month or any earlier deadlines specified in the advance email notification prior to the club release. Extra shipping charges incurred due to an incorrect address, delivery interception, and shipments returned to the winery will be charged to your account.
All Pick-up orders must be collected within 90 days or they will be automatically shipped to the address on file. In the event that your shipment is sent to you, shipping fees will be incurred.
